American Express Global Business Travel Final Biller in Hartford, Connecticut

The Final Biller will support the Client with final billing processes. You will work directly with the Client to review event invoices, confirm budget data quality within Cvent, store supporting documents in the Client's local drive, and complete the event file close-out checklist. The scope of this position is dependent upon line of business/programs. Cvent experience is required to be successful in this role. The available salary is $55,000 USD.

What You'll Do:

PROCESS MANAGEMENT:

  • Meets all deadlines and deliverables as established by Meeting Management Team and client vendors.

DATA AND REPORT MANAGEMENT:

  • Review and verify all vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance through comparison to Cvent budget data, client contract, addendum terms and negotiated agreements.

  • Assist in the resolution of any financial discrepancies between suppliers and client.

  • Liaise with M&E finance support team as needed.

  • Perform event close out procedures in compliance with agreed upon SLA timeframe.

  • Ensure timely and Accurate Savings Analysis.

  • Optimally communicates with Team Lead/Operations Manager regarding client contracts and service riders to ensure they are aligned to the billing process.

  • Assess and pursue opportunities for maximization of client billing; connect with Team Lead/Operations Manager as to observations and possible improvement opportunities.

MISCELLANEOUS RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works on special projects as assigned by leadership.

  • Stay on top of industry standards and trends related to responsibilities.

  • Cultivate key client and supplier relationships

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of technology and/or software solutions.

  • Balancing multiple projects/demands effectively.

  • Maintain close coordination with Meeting Managers and Leadership Team

What We're Looking For:

  • 2 years business experience in meetings industry

  • Previous accounting experience in A/P, A/R and client billing preferred.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and professional with all levels of management and clients.

  • Proven organizational skills.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple demands.

  • Ability to work accurately and timely – to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to be flexible and handle change well.

  • Strong financial competence skills with an emphasis on transfer of value data and reporting

  • Microsoft Word and Excel experience – Intermediate/advanced level

  • Experience with meeting industry technology a plus, especially budget management (CVENT)

Location

United States

The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $46,000 to $93,000. The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
