Manage the design, implementation and adoption of updated business processes (including associated change management activities) that support transactional excellence, client engagement, operational efficiency, and ultimately profitable growth in HSB’s transactional insurance business.

Drive and support the execution of important initiatives that improve transactional customer experiences and outcomes. This role will collaborate with stakeholders across the company, and at all levels, to support and develop business enhancement strategies that improve how HSB delivers transactional accounts. Translate business requirements and opportunities into executed action related to people, process, and technology. Ensure the execution of key initiative deliverables using a variety of tools including, but not limited to, strategic analysis, business requirements, process mapping, business case development, business and operational readiness planning, and capability road map development.

Perform a thorough end-to-end design review of key CAD business processes, with an initial focus on transactional quote delivery. Create and document a next generation operating model and business process design for CAD’s high-volume, automated, data-driven business segments. Implement a transition plan that maximizes speed to market for the new model, utilize a repeatable methodology for future process enhancement, and drive continuous process improvement initiatives throughout CAD.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, and/or equivalent work experience is required

  • Masters degree preferred

  • 7+ years of business process design, analysis and re-engineering, including data analysis techniques and use of mapping tools (e.g. Visio)

  • 5+ years leading operational excellence initiatives that resulted in measurable change

  • 3+ years leading complex, cross-functional initiatives

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or comparable process improvement certification preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to promote and instill Process Excellence strategy through adoption of methodologies and best practices

  • Experience with indirect leadership and mentorship

Knowledge and Skills

  • Self-starter that takes initiative and can work independently but also highly collaborative in solutioning

  • Expert-level understanding of Lean process improvement concepts and techniques as they pertain to the DMAIC lifecycle

  • Ability to analyze data to deliver insights and focus

  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills

  • Active listening with keen objectivity

  • Relationship building at all levels of the organization

  • Big picture thinking paired with attention to detail – ability to bring high level business context and detailed processes together

  • Skilled in simplifying the complex

  • Indirect leadership and strong ability to influence

  • Demonstrated commitment to readily accept and personally adapt to change and encourage others to embrace it as well
