The Role
As a Lumen Senior Internal Auditor, you will conduct complex internal financial and/or system audits and risk assessments. Test and document financial and computer system records for information system integrity, transaction accuracy and report discrepancies. Prepare audit plans and understand the specific issues to be evaluated. Execute internal audits within established business process controls. Develop formal written reports to communicate audit results to management and regulatory compliance agencies, if applicable and makes recommendations as appropriate.
The Main Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and execute highly complex internal audit programs by working with clients to identify risks, evaluate controls, and recommend improvements
Draft and edit audit work papers and reports of internal audit findings, agree points, and management resolution, acting as a liaison and facilitator between business units
Participate in systems implementation and process improvement projects
Create detailed audit procedures and perform control evaluation and testing
Communicate with internal audit management regarding testing status, audit issues and deadlines.
Follow up with clients to ensure that agreed-upon action plans have been implemented
What We Look For in a Candidate
Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other business discipline with at leave five years of relevant experience in internal audit, risk consulting, or external audit. Large accounting firm experience, CIA, CISA and/or CPA is a plus.
Candidates should also have a demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment, with an exceptional eye for detail. Works in a team environment to achieve department objectives.
Requires multi-tasking, problem solving, prioritizing and excellent communication skills in order to successfully meet deadlines.
Strong computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated experience with audit software such as TeamMate and/or SQL is a plus.
Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
Location Based Pay Ranges:
$66,375 - $88,500 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
$69,694 - $92,925 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
$73,013 - $97,350 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
