Job Title: Pilot Equipment OperatorJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Pilot Equipment Operator. In this role, you will set up and operate pilot equipment, perform analytical testing, and document all laboratory results. This contract position offers a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in R&D work, learn intricate scientific processes, and potentially secure a permanent position based on performance.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate pilot equipment such as evaporators, crystallizers, boilers, etc.

  • Operate simple hoses, pumps, heaters, centrifuges, etc. throughout the testing processes.

  • Record and document outputs from the equipment including pressure, temperature, gauge levels, chemical data, etc.

  • Perform analytical testing such as titrations, spectroscopy, solids composition, crystal characterization, microscopy, etc.

  • Document all laboratory results and work with other team members to develop this product per customer application.

  • Follow basic laboratory practices and maintain a safe, clean working lab space.

Essential Skills

  • Laboratory experience in any kind of laboratory setting and testing.

  • Base understanding of lab processes.

  • Experience in chemistry, biology, titration, and reverse osmosis.

  • Experience with crystallization processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Open to candidates with multiple years of experience, entry-level candidates, or individuals with lab experience but no degree.

  • Open to chemical operators with medium to high level of experience.

Work Environment

You will work in a lab environment alongside approximately 15 others. The position requires working the night shift from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Training will initially take place on the first shift before transitioning to the night shift. Candidates need to be open to working up to 12 hours per day and occasionally helping out on weekends to accommodate the 24/7 pilot process runtime.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00
