School Social Worker

Position Overview:

We’re excited to be hiring TWO full-time School Social Workers in a dynamic and supportive school community in Harvard, Illinois! Here, you’ll find a collaborative environment where staff, administrators, and families work closely to promote student achievement. In this role, the School Social Workers will support elementary students (K-3rd). The caseload details are still being finalized - more to come here!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work full-time, Monday-Friday.

  • Provide social-emotional and academic support for 3rd-5th grade students.

  • Conduct individual, small-group, and whole-group counseling for students.

  • Advocate for students’ emotional, social, and educational growth.

  • Actively contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

  • Support students’ goals as outlined in their IEPs or 504 plans.

  • Implement crisis intervention and safety strategies when necessary.

  • Collaborate with staff, families, and community partners to enhance student success.

  • Caseload details are to follow.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral Degree in Social Work.

  • LMSW licensure eligibility in Illinois.

  • Professional Educators License (PEL) eligibility.

  • Experience with elementary students is preferred, but not required.
