Work Schedule: Regular hours: Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. One Saturday off per month: During that week, the schedule shifts to Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Duties & Responsibilities These examples do not include all possible tasks in this work and do not limit the assignment of related tasks in any position of this classification. Regular attendance according to the position's management approved work schedule is required for all positions. Transport adults in county vehicle from designated pick-up locations to and from work sites. Engage and supervise clients in performing work safely and effectively by working alongside them. Facilitate equipment pick-up needed for crew. Fill out necessary paperwork with clients, mark attendance and notes in a case management system and perform other administrative duties as assigned. Report any issues, violations of program, or emergencies immediately to the coordinator in charge of STS. Coordinate and schedule work assignments for crew members. Ensure crew compliance with safety protocols and procedures. Conduct regular training sessions for crew members on equipment usage and safety. Manage and maintain equipment inventory. Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders for project assignments. Complete annual STS training, chain saw training, and CPR training. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1-11 Knowledge, Skills & Abilities and Work Environment Knowledge of general and specific safety and security issues of detainment including appropriate use of force. Knowledge of individual and group social behavior. Ability to perform basic safety and security skills. Knowledge of data privacy practices. Knowledge and understanding of ethnic diversities. Knowledge of Evidence Based in probation including ability to use Motivational Interviewing. Knowledge of effective client treatment and change. Skills and ability to demonstrate appropriate empathy, fairness, and a non-confrontational approach with the ability to set and maintain client limits. Ability to work independently and as a team member within department policies and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written. Investigative and critical thinking skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with clients, coworkers, law enforcement officials, judges and treatment facil ties. Knowledge of and the ability to operate several complex computer systems such as CJIIN, , CSTS, MNCIS, Microsoft Office. Ability to advise people in crisis situations and make appropriate decisions leading to crisis resolution. Ability to prioritize work according to client and agency need.
