Need 6 seasonal, full-time, temporary Farmworkers/Laborers to work in Hastings, MN. From: 05/01/2024 - 11/10/2024 Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon.-Fri. 7 hrs./day, Sat. 5 hrs./day. Workers will be paid overtime in accordance with Minnesota Statute 177, specifically 177.25 Subdivision 1 and/or 177.23 Subdivision 7(2). Must Apply By: 08/06/2024 JOB DUTIES: Plant, weed, hand-pick all fruits/ vegetables/flowers. Wash, sort, pack, place in containers, load and transport to proper building/area. Clean and maintain work areas, materials and vehicles. Operate tractors/machinery/vehicles to cultivate, weed, deliver, etc. all produce or materials needed. Duties can include tilling, applying fertilizers/plant production materials, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning and disposal of trimmings, trellising, irrigating and general maintenance/care of trees/plants. Building and repairing fences and play areas. General feeding/maintenance of farm animals. General maintenance of buildings, grounds, facilities as needed. Unload delivery trucks as needed. Set up and operate spreaders, mowers, tractors, forklifts, discs, tractor drawn equipment, etc. Workers may be asked to handle food products outside of crops grown. Food safety standards must be followed in all areas of employment. Drug testing post hire at no cost to worker; No HS Diploma/GED required. Drug free workplace. Employees may be required to drive company vehicles. Crops: strawberries, raspberries, apples, pumpkins, squash, gourds, flowers, misc. garden crops. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Obtain Driver's License, Clean MVR/driving record, Able to lift 50 lbs., and stand for 8 hours, stoop, bend and perform tasks with repetitive movements. Post hire drug screening, post hire at employer's expense. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
