Aerotek Tool And Die Maker in Hatboro, Pennsylvania
Location: Hatboro, PA
Shift: 6am - 230pm or 7am - 330pm
Pay: 52k - 108k annual salary (DIRECT PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITY)
Description:
Fabricate dies using complex machinery such as drill presses, manual lathes and grinders
Use sketches, blueprints, specifications, and models to plan operations for the fabrication of dies, tools and assemblies, ensuring safety and maximum efficiency
Verify dimensions of finished parts to ensure they conform to specifications using dial indicators, gauge blocks, calipers, comparators, and micrometers
Utilize hand and machine tools to assemble parts of tools and dies and to repair and modify gauges, jigs and dies
Design templates and jigs to be used as work aids for convenient fabrication of products and parts
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems and perform necessary repairs to tooling and dies
Set up and operate all department machine tools including mills, lathes, grinders, rotary tables; monitors and adjusts mechanical processes as required.
Set pyrometer controls of heat-treating furnaces, and place parts, tools, or assemblies into furnaces to harden.
Study specification plans and blueprints to determine the proper assembly, alignment and calibration of machines
Inspect finish dies to ensure proper smoothness, finish and contour free of all defects
Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T symbols
