Job Summary
This position exits to provide support and management of student records and technology for the College of Nursing and Health Professions (CNHP). This position will report directly to the Dean and work collaboratively with numerous other personnel in the CNHP.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Create and maintain internal database for rosters, enter applicant information into databases, and update data as students progress through the program. Create reports and forms from databases as necessary.
Compile list of course repeaters each semester to send to have ATI charges removed from account.
Scan and maintain digital copies of all students’ clinical immunization requirements. Create and maintain database of expiration dates and status of all immunizations. Send faculty and facilities requested copies and information from database pertaining to immunizations. Adjust and change database as requirements change.
Coordinate fingerprinting process of all nursing students.
Assist with maintaining physical students’ records, including the record room.
Assist in Simulation Center as needed (i.e., build and maintain system to record and stream simulations, build and maintain IV Practice arms, troubleshoot network and connectivity issues, assist in operating and repairing manikins as necessary, c ommunicate with Laerdal regarding troubleshooting and software updates).
Assist with trouble shooting and maintenance of computers and printers assigned to faculty, staff, classrooms, etc. as needed.
Assist faculty and students in troubleshooting various technology problems (computers, phones, examsoft, etc.).
Participation in college events, community activities, and services which enhance or support as appropriate.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED and 1 year of working in an office setting.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Troubleshoot, assist, and/or correct software and hardware on computers for computer lab and faculty offices.
Install application and operating system software on computers for computer lab and faculty office.
Maintain a log of request for assistance, date task was completed, and action taken to correct the problem.
Keep the Dean’s Office apprised of any new hardware and software needs.
Understand the components of student files must be kept in strictness of confidence.
General computer operations skills.
File management skills.
Complex duties such as project management and preparation of reports.
Good organizational, time management, and communication skills.
Skilled in office software such as word processing and spreadsheet programs.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Experience in computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
Knowledge of hardware and software installation and setup.
Preferred Qualifications
Associates degree in technology or related field
