Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in the manufacturing industry, based in Hauppauge, New York. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing financial operations, analyzing job costs, supporting transactional staff, and conducting month-end close procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and QuickBooks operations.

• Conduct job cost analysis to assess profitability and implement cost-saving measures.

• Support transactional staff to ensure smooth operation of all finance and accounting tasks.

• Handle month-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; compile and analyze financial reporting packages.

• Collaborate with the team to enhance and streamline accounting processes and operations.

• Act as a point of contact for customer inquiries, resolving any issues promptly and professionally.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account activity. Requirements

• Proven experience as an Accounting Manager in the manufacturing industry

• Strong knowledge and proficiency in QuickBooks

• Demonstrated ability in managing month-end close processes

• Proven skills in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiarity with Job Cost and Cost Analysis

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field

• Certification such as CPA or CMA is advantageous

• Solid understanding of financial legislation and regulations.
