Minimum Qualifications Transfer Opportunity:Candidates must have one year of permanent service as a Licensed Psychologist and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be in a title deemed appropriate for transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. In addition, candidates must be licensed and currently registered to practice psychology in New York State.ORNon-Competative Appointment: To qualify, candidates must be licensed and currently registered to practice psychology in New York State. Duties Description Job Duties include but are not limited to the following:• Review psychological, physical and psychosocial, specialty reports to determine eligibility for OPWDD services at 1st and 2nd step.• Educate Care Coordination Organization Care Managers and Service Access Agencies on eligibility requirements for OPWDD services.• Upload eligibility determinations to CHOICES and complete letters in TABS.• Complete OPWDD Level of Care Eligibility Determination (LCED) forms for individuals new to OPWDD, who are seeking OPWDD Eligibility.• Review and sign off on eligible determination outcomes required by ESAL guidelines.• Participate in RSFO meetings, trainings and teleconferences as required.• Respond to phone calls, voicemails and emails related to eligibility matters.• Conduct face to face meeting with individuals to determine eligibility, as needed.• Participate in eligibility fair hearings and case conferences with families, as needed.• Provide clinical oversight for the Clinical Supervisor when he/she is out of the office.• Oversee tracking of Provisional Eligibility for individuals turning 7 years old.• Assist Clinical Supervisor in providing supervision to non- licensed staff.• Participate in monthly meetings chaired by the Chief Psychologist regarding best practices and other topics related to Psychology.• Complete Special Projects as assigned by Administration.LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/nys-office-for-people-with-developmental-disabilities/posts/?feedView=all#LI-VC1
