Description:

Custom Computer Specialists, Inc. is one of the leading integrators working with in the five boroughs for over 35 years. We have successfully provided network integration including wired, wireless, IP Video Surveillance and desktop, laptop deployments services to our valued customers in the education sector.

We are currently seeking Technicians to join our team for large scale deployment projects! This position requires travel throughout the five boroughs and Long Island.

OVERVIEW

This person is primarily responsible for being part of an integration team. Racking and patching network equipment for multiple educational buildings within the five boroughs. The position may require working an alternate 2nd shift 2PM to 10PM, Monday thru Thursday. This person must have data center experience, understanding of wire and data management for network equipment.

In addition to the network deployment project, we also deploy desktops, laptops, iPads, and Chromebooks to the schools in both NYC and Long Island. Prior to deployment team members will be utilized to assist with the prepping of these devices in our warehouse at our Hauppauge headquarters.

Headquarters is in Hauppauge, Long Island. You must have a ccess to a car on a daily basis and a valid drivers license.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Stage network equipment

· Patching data cables and data cable management

· Pre integration port tracing

· Working with a team to complete all integration task including:

· Pre-deployment tasks of staging of equipment (unboxing and organizing equipment)

· Deployment racking and stacking datacenter equipment

· Labeling equipment

· Patching equipment

· Data cable management

· Provide clean and concise progress reporting (written and verbal)

· Ensure quality of work

· Breakdown of old equipment and prepare for EOL services

· Provide documented summations of work assignments including client sign off, punch lists and resolutions

· Deployment and setup of desktops, laptops, iPads, and Chrombooks

QUALIFICATIONS

· Understanding of networking and wireless equipment installation

· Ability to perform patching and cable management

· 1 -2 years of network integration experience or 1 -2 years of desktop/laptop deployment experience

· Excellent customer service skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Skilled with organization, decision making and time management

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Industry certifications (A+, networking and security) A +
