This is an exempt level position

The Maintenance Supervisor has overall responsibility for the material condition of the facility and equipment. The Maintenance supervisor reports to the Plant Manager and the RCM Regional Manager. The focus of this position is the maximize production by focusing on reliability, minimizing upkeep costs, and managing budgets pertaining to repairs and maintenance. The Maintenance Supervisor supports plant production goals with a focus on proactive maintenance to avoid unscheduled losses. This role requires a continuous improvement mindset.

Job Requirements:

To be considered for an opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Commitment to ADM's goal of achieving a zero injury culture

  • Full compliance with all Employee Safety and Food Safety laws, regulations and rules of Golden Peanut Company and ADM.

  • Role requires 2-5 years of experience in Manufacturing/Maintenance Management.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and/or electrical aptitude.

  • Strong understanding of Manufacturing flow processes, controls and procedures

  • Ability to understand, develop and manage maintenance planning

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Must demonstrate strong leadership ability.

  • Able to climb and work in high areas

  • Must demonstrate high-level of problem solving with a focused approach and team working skills

  • High level of Organizational and Inter-personal skills

  • Work is performed indoors and outdoors in some environments that are loud and dusty.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite

Job Responsibilities:

  • Proactively work to ensure that all employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors understand and comply with ADM safety policies and procedures

  • Support plant safety and food safety goals through reliable maintenance practices

  • Set goals and expectations for the maintenance team.

  • Coaching employees to reach their full potential by providing feedback in a manner that is consistent, effective, and fair.

  • Support and engage in PE program by leading the Proactive Maintenance Pillar and supporting other pillars as needed.

  • Responsible for all Maintenance related operations of manufacturing facility

  • Understand, maintain, evaluate and improve proactive maintenance practices

  • Develop and maintain repair and maintenance budgets to meet plant budget plans.

  • Motivate, train, develop and lead maintenance team.

  • Assist in training production colleagues on proper operation, cleaning, lubrication, troubleshooting, and adjustments to plant equipment.

  • Develop and maintain parts inventory tracking

  • Maintain all work orders and associated documentation using Maximo

  • Manage contracted maintenance labor.

  • Plan maintenance outage work.

  • Identify continuous learning opportunities for the maintenance team focusing on precision skills and safety practices

  • Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple tasks/assignments

  • Further responsibilities include working cooperatively with sales, production, administrative and management teams
