Quality Inspector

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections using hand and automated inspection tools

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents

  • Use hand inspection tools competently (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauge, universal protractor)

  • Operate automated inspection tools proficiently (e.g., CMM, 2D inspection machine, Virtek)

  • Process and collect inspection data using computer systems

  • Plan and complete first articles

  • Participate in team meetings effectively

    Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a in a technical manufacturing role

  • Proficiency in using hand and automated inspection equipment

  • Computer literacy with ability to process inspection data efficiently

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks under time constraints

  • Knowledge of quality principles and ability to perform quality-related tasks

    Preferred Qualifications

  • One year or more quality experience in Aerospace, military, or related mechanical product facilities

  • Two-year Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Science

  • Experience with supplier self-release programs for aerospace (e.g., GE, Rolls Royce)

    Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for 2-3 hours continuously

  • Occasional sitting, walking, climbing stairs, bending, and stooping

  • Capable of lifting and carrying objects up to 20 lbs regularly

  • Ability to reach and grasp parts repeatedly throughout the day

  • Clear vision (including color, peripheral, and depth perception) from close-up to 20 feet or more

  • Verbal communication skills

    Work Environment

  • Exposure to fabrication shop conditions including dirt, dust, and noise

  • Potential exposure of heat or cold

  • Work around machinery with moving parts and mobile vehicles

  • Close collaboration with team members

  • Some overtime may be required based on demand and management discretion
