This position may be covered by a Voluntary Employee Beneficiary Association (VEBA) *JOB DUTIES: As a Business Analyst 1 with WSD’s Tech & Training (TNT) Team, your role will involve a blend of asset management, technical support, and process improvement. You will: * Serve as the Division’s primary Software and Hardware Asset Manager, ensuring smooth operations and inventory accuracy. * Triage and prioritize incoming requests for IT support and training, coordinating with appropriate teams for resolution. * Collaborate with HR and Division Supervisors to develop, implement, and maintain onboarding/offboarding processes. Act as the liaison between supervisors, staff, and IT to resolve technical onboarding issues. * Provide support to the Training Coordinator, including handling Moodle-related requests and general maintenance. * Manage Service Desk tickets assigned to the WSD TNT Team, ensuring timely and accurate responses. * Track and communicate statewide IT changes/updates, notifying relevant stakeholders of potential impacts, using common language. * Ensure the completion of annual security awareness training by all staff and contractors. * Build and strengthen relationships with technical teams across the Department and State IT to foster collaboration. * Assist the Training Coordinator with developing training content and delivering clear communications. * Identify process bottlenecks in collaboration with the TNT Supervisor, recommending and implementing solutions to improve internal workflows. * Perform additional duties as required to support the team. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITES: If you are the right person for this opportunity, you will have the following knowledge, skills or abilities: * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially TEAMS and Excel. * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. * A curiosity-driven approach to problem-solving, research, and continuous improvement. * Adaptability to shifting priorities and fast-paced environments, with the ability to reassess and adjust tasks as new challenges arise. * A willingness to learn new skills when faced with unfamiliar tasks. * Familiarity with the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) and related workforce programs or the * Experience creating issue-tracking workflows using tools like spreadsheets. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Your preparation for this opportunity could include a combination of relevant experiences including: * A Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of relevant work experience OR * An Associate’s degree and 3 years of relevant work experience OR * Any combination of equivalent experience and education to successfully perform the essential functions of the position will be considered. Preferred Degrees include: * Business Analytics * Project Management * Information Technology or a related field Preferred Qualifications include: * Experience with Workforce Development programs and services in Montana. * Knowledge of and experience with case management CRM and job board systems. * A minimum of 2 years’ experience in positions that demonstrate skill in managing competing priorities in a dynamic work environment.
