We are seeking a Manufacturing Product Engineer to join our team, focusing on the successful deployment of our platforms into customer data centers.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with development, sales, and support teams to ensure seamless integration of our technology into diverse customer environments. Knowledge of customer data center infrastructures—including server, power, cooling, networking, and rack installations is highly desirable.

  • Collaborate closely with internal engineering and design teams to translate product requirements into manufacturable designs.

  • Consult with customers and datacenter managers to support the installation and deployment of Teradata products.

  • Provide server support in configuration, management, installation, along with optimizing server performance and implementing enhancements.

  • Communicate data center installation requirements, including power, cooling, and networking, to customers and vendors.

  • Provide expertise on rack-mounted equipment configurations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental guidelines for enterprise data processing equipment.

  • Serve as a liaison between internal development teams and product management to provide technical insights on product configurations and ordering options.

  • Interface with contract manufacturing groups, providing technical support, overseeing production processes, and ensuring adherence to quality standards.

  • Lead and participate in the implementation and utilization of PLM systems to manage product data, revisions, and documentation throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Create, maintain, and optimize Bills of Materials (BOMs) and product structures. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across various product lines and versions.

Who You’ll Work With

Our team evaluates, designs, releases to manufacturing, and provides lifecycle support for on-premises MPP systems. This is a small, dedicated team focused on the success of the hardware platforms used to deliver scalable enterprise analytics for our customers. You will report to Platform Infrastructure Engineering and work with the Platform Project Manager for work assignments.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

  • MS/BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience with software development, server engineering, or related field.

  • Hands-on experience with data center designs and deployments.

  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including power and cooling requirements.

  • Exceptional communication skills and a proven track record of effective cross-functional collaboration.

  • Ability to analyze/assist with hardware power failures, power quality, and mechanical failures.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience with computer system components including processors, memory, storage, and adapters.

  • Familiarity with 19-inch rack components including racks, servers, storage arrays, switches, PDUs, and cabling, along with installation expertise.

  • Understanding of worldwide power utilities, power quality, power redundancy, and distribution among components to optimize power usage.

  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality assurance guidelines and best practices.

  • Expertise in global trade regulations related to the import of technology products is desirable. Familiarity with organizations like the Information Technology Industry Council (ITIC) is a plus.

Pay Rate: 118300.0000 - 147900.0000 - 177500.0000 Annually
