Health Advocates Network Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in Hemet, California

Health Advocates Network is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to work at a school district in Hemet, CA. This is a registry position with our company.

Shifts Available:

  • 7:30am - 4:00pm (30 mins lunch)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year (12 months) of experience as an Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.

  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification

  • A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association)

Duties:

  • Assists the Occupational Therapist in establishing and implementing appropriate and individualized treatment plans as it relates to supported IEP objectives.

  • Monitors students' responses to therapeutic intervention and collaborates with the Occupational Therapist for appropriate modification and/or adaptation of treatment plans.

  • Assists the Occupational Therapist in coordinating and scheduling the provision of services with the educational staff.

  • Assists the Occupational Therapist in maintaining specified records on each student referred, evaluated, and provided services with current documentation, to include Medicaid documentation.

  • Assists in ordering appropriate equipment and supplies for students' needs and school treatment areas.

  • Collaborates with the Occupational Therapist and IEP team to maximize the student's optimal level of performance.

Special Notes: This is a District Wide position (Include Outlying Schools). The school sites are located in the Hemet, San Jacinto, Idyllwild, and Anza areas. These positions require the contracted employee to drive site-to-site daily supporting student assessments.
