Purpose of the Position: The Machining Cell Leader will be responsible for overseeing the operation of the machining cell, managing production schedules, ensuring quality standards, and leading a team of machinists to achieve production targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining operations, team leadership, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the machining cell, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management to meet production targets and customer demand.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of machinists, operators, and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and production procedures.
  • Maintain equipment and tooling, performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and coordinating with maintenance and facilities teams to minimize downtime and maximize uptime.
  • Ensure a safe working environment, enforcing safety policies and procedures, conducting safety training sessions, and promoting a culture of safety awareness and compliance among team members.
  • Maintain accurate production records, work instructions, and documentation, ensuring traceability and accountability for all activities performed within the machining cell.

Work Hours

  • Rotating shift
  • Managing a 24/7 plant structure, so occasional support when needed.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or GED equivalent

3+ years of working experience in operations

Proven leadership skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team of machinists and technicians to achieve production goals and objectives.

Strong technical expertise in machining principles, tooling design, cutting parameters, and CNC programming, with hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting CNC machine tools.
