Role Purpose

This position requires strong technical curiosity across many technologies, a desire for technical leadership, and the ability to learn and desire to work with others for the progress of the business. As part of a global team, this position provides measurement solutions to Corning's business to deliver best in class products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with experienced professionals across a variety of functional groups (manufacturing, development, engineering, etc.) to define, develop and implement measurement systems.
• Transfer measurement technology from early-stage development to a system ready for installation in a manufacturing environment.
• Develop and apply measurement uncertainty/measurement system analysis techniques to ensure proper measurement system application and capability.
• Leverage external suppliers with key technologies or systems integration expertise to develop, procure, build, and install measurement systems in Corning's production facilities.
• Design experiments and analyze data to identify and implement measurement integrity and efficiency improvements to measurement systems or production processes.
• Develop and manage documentation in support of measurement system deployments including machine specifications, operating procedures, and drawing packages.
• Train plant engineering, maintenance and operations associates on use and maintenance of measurement systems.
• Visibly support the establishment and maintenance of a safe work environment

Work Hours

• Standard Hours (Monday -- Friday, 8am-5pm)
• Flexible hours may be required to support weekends/evenings operations requirements

Experiences/Education - Required

BS in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics
