Responsibilities

• Support laser marking, engrave and fill marking and part marking operations

• Deburr metal parts per customer specification

• Bead blast metal parts per customer specification

• Operate Haeger machines to install hardware per customer specification

• Install helical inserts into metal parts per customer specification

• Assist in loading, unloading, and organizing shop materials or parts

• Cut raw material to machining blanks using horizontal and vertical saws

• Maintain inventory records for tooling and bar-stock

• Clean parts with ultrasonic washer machine and 3-stage automatic wash equipment

• Riveting of inseparable assemblies per customer specification

• Assembly of mechanical metalwork and components per customer specification

• Processing of heatipes into heat sink parts via thermal bonding and soldering

• Assist in packaging parts for delivery to vendors or customers

• Assist in masking for powder coating

• Collaborate with shop personnel and project engineers

• Occasionally pick up or deliver materials and supplies using company vehicles

• Help keep the shop clean and organized

• Ability to adapt to new technologies

• Adhere to safety protocols in the shop environment

• Support visual inspection to verify hardware & cosmetic requirements meet customer specifications

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED

• Minimum 2 years of experience in machine shop environment preferred

• Understanding of different material types preferred

• Ability to read and interpret drawings

• Hard working and a desire to learn

Growth opportunities available commensurate with demonstrated performance as an apprentice for other manufacturing processes within the shop such as manual machining, skive machine operator, laser marker, CNC operator, and waterjet programmer/operator and co2 laser programmer/operator.
