Permanent Opening, Full Time Position

Pay rate is $57,832 per year.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: The Case Supervisor, Grade B provides professional social services work involving responsibility for supervising the activities of Caseworkers administering social service in specified areas or programs. Where the Case Supervisors, Grade B are the principal supervising social workers, they are responsible for standards of Social Services in accordance with agency policy, and for recommending Social Services policies and procedures.

ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

EITHER:(A) Graduation from a regionally accredited college or New York State registered four-year college or university with a Bachelors degree AND three years of full-time satisfactory paid experience in social work with a public or private social agency adhering to acceptable standards;

OR:(B) Graduation from a regionally accredited or a New York State registered two year college with an Associate degree, or two years of full-time attendance at a regionally accredited or New York State registered four year college or university and have five years full-time satisfactory experience of which three years must have been in social work with a public or private agency adhering to acceptable standards and the remaining two years in (1) social work with a public or private social agency adhering to acceptable standards, or (2) in supervised teaching in an accredited school;

OR:(C) Graduation from high school and seven years full-time satisfactory paid experience of which three years must have been in social work with a public or private social agency adhering to acceptable standards and the remaining four years in (1) social work with a public or private social agency adhering to acceptable standards, or (2) in supervised teaching in an accredited school;

OR:(D) Three years full-time satisfactory paid experience as a Caseworker in a local social services agency in New York State;

OR:(E) An equivalent combination of training and experience.
