Job Location: Denver, CO
Job Description:
L3Harris Technologies has an opening for a Engineering Fellow (Geolocation and Tracking) to join our Mission Analysis Group (MAG). This position is located in Herndon, VA. The selected candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse collaborative geographically dispersed team to develop various analytic toolsets focused on constructive simulation and experimentation across multi-domains, for a variety of customers, both internal and external contracts. Toolsets are used in a variety of simulation events ranging from customer engagement, proposal support to advanced concept exploration.
Essential Functions:
Analysis and development of algorithms for signal processing, time-frequency analysis, target geo-location and tracking, data association, detection, estimation, and optimization
Design multi-domain simulation capabilities in Matlab, C++, Python, AFSIM, STK in support of MAG Technology and Mission Roadmaps, Internal Research and Development efforts, and Programs of record
Integrate other Government-off-the-Shelf (GOTS) and Customer-off-the-Shelf (COTS) simulations, frameworks, models and analytic toolsets to existing S/W infrastructure i.e. Matlab, C++, Python, AFSIM, STK
Build and maintain analytic toolsets representing each phase of the find, fix, target, track, engage, and assess (F2T2EA) chain using sensor, effects, and communications technologies, including decision support aids i.e. data visualization, Unity-game engines to support operations assessment, as well as lessons learned development/refinement experience
Document model specifications for establishing a repository of simulation capabilities, frameworks, algorithms, system models, analytic toolsets etc. for reuse at multiple classification levels, while maintain configuration management protocols
Support programs and pursuits by creating models, simulations, and analysis products. Determine requirements, develop simulation software, troubleshoot existing simulation capabilities, and create software designs and test plans
Support requirements development, system verification, and concept of operations (CONOPS) development as well as work with Technical Leaders & SMEs to ensure modeling, simulation, analysis capabilities meet operational mission requirements
Develop new simulation capabilities and processes for employment, enhance current analytic toolset
Support internal and external technical expo/roadshows by providing knowledge sharing of signature simulation capabilities and products
Support knowledge transfer i.e. coaching and mentorship of Junior technical talent across the MAG
