Our Mid-Atlantic Strategic Growth Team (SGT) is looking for a dynamic Senior Marketing Consultant to join the team from our Baltimore, MD office. The following locations will also be considered: Washington, DC; Herndon, VA; Virginia Beach, VA; Philadelphia, PA; Morristown, NJ; Lawrenceville, NJ .
The Senior Marketing Consultant is an essential member of the team working across multiple business lines to support our firm’s continued growth by providing business development and marketing services excellence. We are looking for someone that is collaborative, can influence and inspire others, and brings a deep understanding of pursuit leadership, client engagement, and proposal best practices. The right candidate will be a self-driven, collaborative team player who builds community through positivity. Our ideal candidate will bring experience in the A/E/C industry leading the complete pursuit life cycle with an eye for detail that translates to compliance and compelling communications that bring home the win!
Your Impact
Lead complex proposals with general guidance, including scheduling and conducting project kick-off meetings and strategy sessions for a winning proposal.
Collaborate with technical staff to write original content and reviews/edits content for clarity, compliance, and key messages.
Research, gather, and edit proposal materials, including writing, verifying, and formatting proposal information. Ensures the various aspects of proposals and other marketing materials are compliant, accurate and delivered in a timely manner.
Collaborate with graphic design staff to plan and produce materials ensuring all proposals are effectively communicating the strategic vision identified for a given pursuit.
Lead and maintain pursuit capture plans, including executing marketing efforts on large, multi-disciplinary pursuits. Work closely with Technical Champions to drive pre-positioning and pursuit readiness efforts, including partnering with local and regional resources to drive WSP’s sales approach, providing business intelligence on clients, competitors and WSP.
Organize and coach technical staff in the presentation phase of a pursuit, including slide development and rehearsals.
Support account/client management teams by preparing materials for internal and external meetings, as well as annual strategic growth initiatives. Also participates in account/client management team meetings and may attend events that increase understanding.
Actively contribute to the development and maintenance of essential marketing data, including CRM information, resumes, and project descriptions.
Partner with and mentor other marketing team members to help train and share best practices.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Required Qualifications
At least 5 - 7 years of experience with professional services marketing and pursuit development, preferably in the A/E/C industry
Excellent verbal and written communicator with strong critical thinking, marketing strategy development, and facilitation skills
Possess a strategic mindset, sound judgment and the ability to develop and manage strategic capture plans
Superior organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple projects and details simultaneously and lead large, diverse, and disparate teams towards a positive outcome
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in completing tasks
Proficiency in common grammar, punctuation and proofing for business writing
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel and SharePoint), Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat), and other collaboration applications
Bachelor’s degree in English, marketing, communications, business, journalism, or closely related field

Preferred Qualifications
Post graduate education
Certification or enhanced credentials in applicable areas
Active member of industry associations
Willingness and ability to travel regionally

Compensation
Expected Salary (all locations): $72,800 - $127,380
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
