WSP is looking for a Senior Consulting Project Manager to join our Construction Management team in Herndon, VA. This is a part time position.

Job Description

• Senior Consulting Project Manager who applies specialized knowledge, skills and experience to advise the client on making informed decisions throughout the life-cycle of the Long Bridge project as well as other projects within the Virginia Passenger Rail Authority portfolio.

• Advise the client on all aspects of project management offering expert guidance and management. This includes understanding client requirements and the project scope and working with the client to craft strategies that align with the client's goals.

• Advise on the strategies to manage contracts in support of the project while balancing project delivery and adequately accounting for and managing internal and external project risks and uncertainties.

• Advise on a myriad of tasks to include coordination and maintaining proactive and positive relationships with all stakeholders.

• Advise on the management of project schedules and delivery timelines, management of project and program budgets, and management of resource allocation to ensure the project delivery adheres to quality and client satisfaction standards.

• Advise the client on the development of contingency plans and alternative design and delivery methodologies to meet client goals and expectations.

• Advise the client on the application of managerial, technical and time-proven skills to fulfill identified project objectives and deliverables.

Your Impact

Minimum Requirements:

• 12 years in project and program management of rail/ transit projects

• B.S. in Engineering, Construction, or a related field, or equivalent

• Proven analytical skills

• Proficiency in project management tools and software

• Strong leadership, motivational and interpersonal skills

• Experience in leading both virtual and physical teams

• Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders in a variety of project environments

• Superb problem-solving and resource planning skills

• Efficiency in managing and prioritizing tasks

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
