Amazon Specialist Solution Architect, Data & AI (AI/ML focus), US Federal Specialist Solution Architect Team in Herndon, Virginia

Description

AWS Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs) are technologists with deep domain-specific expertise, able to address advanced concepts and feature designs. As part of the AWS sales organization, SSAs work with customers who have complex challenges that require expert-level knowledge to solve. SSAs craft scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures that address those challenges. This might involve guiding customers as they refactor an application or designing entirely new cloud-based systems.

Specialist SAs play a critical role in capturing customer feedback, advocating for roadmap enhancements, and anticipating customer requirements as they work backwards from their needs. As domain experts, SSAs also participate in field engagement and enablement, producing content such as whitepapers, blogs, and workshops for customers, partners, and the AWS Technical Field.

US Federal Data & AI Specialist Solutions Architects combine skills in Data, Analytics, AIML, Storage, business acumen, and technical sales. They are focused on supporting customers throughout the engagement lifecycle and work closely with the teams that support implementation including AWS Professional Services and Partners. SSAs unblock customers and help them get to production faster. Joining AWS as a Specialist Solutions Architect will give you opportunities to work on interesting and challenging problems, collaborate with a group of skilled practitioners focused on delivering outcomes for our customers, and be part of a diverse and inclusive community committed to being Earth’s Best Employer.

Key job responsibilities

This position focuses on the AI/ML specialty. You will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for designing machine learning solutions that leverage AWS services to automate solutions and drive down costs for customers. As a member of the Data & AI Specialist Solutions Architecture team, you will work closely with other Specialist SAs on Storage, Databases and Analytics, as well as Business Development teams to enable large-scale customer use cases and drive the adoption of AWS for AI/ML platforms. You will interact with Account SAs in the field, providing guidance on their customer engagements, and you will develop technical content, reference implementations, and presentations to enable customers, partners and ISVs to fully leverage AI/ML and Generative AI on AWS. You will also create field enablement materials for the broader SA population to help them understand how to integrate AWS AI/ML and Generative AI solutions into customer architectures.

You must have deep technical experience working with technologies related to artificial intelligence, machine learning and/or deep learning. A strong mathematics and statistics background is preferred, in addition to experience building complex classification models. You will be familiar with the ecosystem of software vendors in the AI/ML space, and will leverage this knowledge to help AWS customers in their selection process.
