Responsibilities

The Metal Fabrication Estimator is responsible for evaluating project specifications, drawings, and blueprints to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for structural and metal fabrication projects. This role involves analyzing material costs, labor requirements, and project timelines to deliver competitive bids. The estimator will work closely with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to ensure all aspects of the project are considered and to support the successful completion of projects within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze project blueprints, specifications, and related documents to understand project scope and requirements.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment for structural and metal fabrication projects.

• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to assess project needs and potential risks.

• Develop and maintain a database of historical project costs for use in future estimates.

• Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive, and align with company objectives and client expectations.

• Assist in preparing and presenting bids and proposals to clients.

• Monitor and track project costs, comparing actual costs to estimates, and adjusting future estimates accordingly.
