The Korte Company is seeking a Preconstruction Admin to join our Preconstruction Services Team in Highland, IL or St. Louis, MO. This role will be responsible for managing various administrative and estimation tasks that support the preconstruction phase of our projects. This role involves coordinating with subcontractors, updating job records, managing prequalification processes, and ensuring accurate and timely reports are prepared and distributed. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assist the preconstruction staff as needed including the following:

  • Update, monitor, maintain, and assist project management and preconstruction staff in entering subcontractors into the prequalification system
  • Set up and participate in monthly prequalification meetings
  • Set up preconstruction project and estimate folders
  • Set up preconstruction department bi-weekly meetings including preparing the agenda and project report. Update the project report and distribute it
  • Update, maintain, and monitor the subcontractor database
  • Create new bidder lists for upcoming projects as needed
  • Make follow-up phone calls to subcontractors to obtain bids
  • Maintain the preconstruction department calendar
  • Obtain project labor rates
  • Maintain and distribute the preconstruction projects list
  • Update construction cost indexes
  • Prepare the project highlight article for the company newsletter
  • Update company-wide special subcontractor lists
  • Gather data needed by preconstruction and estimating staff for multiple projects of various sizes
  • General administrative duties (as assigned)

EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE

Qualified applicants will have:

  • High School diploma or equal required
  • Preconstruction Admin experience preferred
  • Construction experience preferred
