Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Hillsboro, Oregon

Description

Brittany Bui with Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor based in Hillsboro, Oregon. This role primarily involves overseeing the accounting cycle, maintaining internal controls, and preparing monthly financial reports. You'll be expected to work with multiple departments and communicate effectively with individuals at various levels within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the entire accounting cycle, including the review of Journal Entries (JEs) and the balancing of the General Ledger.

• Prepare monthly financial reporting; ensure accuracy and compliance with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) standards.

• Oversee and manage payroll and budgeting processes.

• Maintain and enhance internal controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

• Carry out audit preparation and coordinate with auditors for smooth auditing processes.

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring timely and accurate processing.

• Perform grant accounting and handle government audits.

• Oversee the accounting close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.

• Utilize accounting software systems to streamline accounting functions and improve efficiency.

• Handle any additional accounting and billing functions as required.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Demonstrated ability to oversee Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Understanding of Auditing practices and procedures

• Familiarity with Billing Functions

• Knowledge of Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB)

• Ability to prepare and analyze Financial Reporting

• Proficient understanding of US GAAP

• Experience with Grant Accounting and Government Audits

• Familiarity with Accounting close process and Accounting cycle

• Budgeting skills and experience

• Knowledge of OMB A-133 Audit

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (preferred)

• Professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) is a plus

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
