Job Title: CNC Machine Operator

Job Description

Immediate opening for a swing shift machinist to produce components for the semiconductor industry. The position requires strong attention to detail and careful handling of custom and fragile parts.

Hard Skills

  • Setup and operate CNC machines to manufacture semiconductor parts

  • Clean and finish parts in preparation for the next operation

  • Proficiency in basic math to calculate setups using various units of measurement

  • Perform routine setup of fixtures, tools, and machines according to blueprints and work instructions

  • Shadow machinists during processing through functional procedures and machining processes such as milling, turning, shaping, drilling, and surface grinding

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 6 months or more of machining experience

  • Intermediate understanding of machining fundamentals including shop math, drawings, measuring instruments, machine functions, and controls

  • Ability to calculate dimensions to meet tolerances, understanding of G and M codes, GD&T

  • Ability to align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, dial indicators, accessories, and materials

  • Ability to machine parts to drawing specifications using machining techniques such as milling, turning, shaping, drilling, and surface grinding

  • 6 months or more of CNC or manual machining experience with a Mill or Lathe

  • GD&T Knowledge

  • CNC Machine Setup Experience

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Work Environment & Shifts

High tech manufacturing environment. Very clean and organized.

Shifts :

Swing Shift Monday - Friday 2pm - 10:30pm, includes a 10% shift differential.

Night Shift Monday - Friday 10:30pm - 6:30am, includes a 15% shift differential (will train on swing shift for 90 days).
