Job Description

How will you make an impact?

Our factory produces low-volume, high complexity electron microscopy products for semiconductor designers and manufacturers to use in the creation and improvement of their products and manufacturing processes. The team is responsible for smooth introduction of new electron microscopy products into the factory and field as well as the ongoing improvement of products and the processes used to manufacture and service them.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work on New Product Introduction (NPI) projects as they transition from initiation through release according to Product Management Process (PMP).

  • Assist logistics and document management with Technical Product Documentation (TPD) and specification support.

  • Using available data, identify areas requiring sustaining projects for design and process improvements.

  • Complete component obsolescence projects on current and near end of life products.

  • Crafts manufacturing process for new products and preventative maintenance plan for product support in the field. May design tooling required for manufacturing and service to meet cycle time and tool availability requirements.

  • Builds and delivers initial training to Manufacturing, Technical Support and Service personnel in new product build, test, install and repair procedures.

  • Support critical issues on the production floor to ensure on time shipments. Drive follow-up actions to ensure issues are resolved.

  • Respond and support safety issues reported on the manufacturing floor and/or field service.

  • Supporting our Global Technical Support team.

  • Spend a portion of your day working in a clean room environment.

Education

University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or a combination of technical education and experience that demonstrates the required skills.

Experience

  • Experience crafting technical documentation, procedures, and engineering reports.

  • Experience in analysis of data and basic experimental methods, test protocols, and procedures.

  • Proven experience participating and leading technical projects and management of multi-functional projects.

  • Experience developing and deploying new products into a manufacturing environment.

  • 3+ years’ experience as an Operations Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer or similar field is helpful.

  • Experience with Practical Process Improvements (PPI) including cost reduction by workflow or design improvements.

  • Experience in reviewing data and driving improvements that affect quality.
