Senior Principal Digital Verification Engineer-Audio Design

Skyworks is seeking team members to help innovate market-specific mixed-signal SOCs for audio and voice applications spanning smart speakers and microphones, wired/wireless headsets, virtual assistants and intelligent gaming controllers. Responsibilities

We are a passionate and dedicated team of world-class analog, mixed-signal and digital design and verification engineers committed to building the next generation of SOCs. This position is for an experienced and equally passionate digital audio design verification engineer interested in excellent personal and professional growth opportunities.

  • Will work with and lead a dedicated team of DV engineers, using the latest verification practices, to verify the digital design intent of our SOC’s at the block and system level.

  • Engage early in the verification process to understand the verification requirements and participate in UVM or System Verilog testbench development.

  • Create and execute upon test plans.

  • Will be responsible for creating tests to verify the SOC design at the system or block level and to implement checking mechanisms to ensure coverage closure.

Position requirements:

  • 15+ years (BSEE), 12+ years (MSEE), or 8+ years (PhD) of relevant industry experience

  • Creating and managing team commitments, schedules, milestones, and deliverables

  • Ability to be a technical anchor and mentor for team members

  • Experience extracting detailed test requirements from complex system and block specifications

    Ideally you are also experienced in:

  • Using Formal verification methods and tools like Jasper Gold.

  • Real-time data processing systems

  • Audio signal processing

  • Audio performance concepts (SNR, THD, SINAD, DR, etc.)

  • FPGA hardware emulation

  • Directed and constrained-random test methodologies, coverage closure and gate-level simulations

  • Experience with one or more (Python, Make, Csh, Bash, Tcl, C -code/embedded firmware/debuggers)

    The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $139,100 - $278,300 per year . Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
