Job Title: Electrical Designer

Job Description

Join our team as an Electrical Designer, where you will utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed electrical schematics, layouts, and single-line diagrams. Your role will involve 2D design tasks such as creating single line diagrams, designing cable trays, conduit runs, lighting, and electrical panels. Additionally, you will engage in BIM Design using Navisworks, read and understand schematics, and collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to develop comprehensive electrical system designs. You will also participate in coordination meetings for RFIs, ensure all designs adhere to safety standards and relevant codes, and prepare technical drawings, specifications, and project reports to ensure installations conform to standards and customer requirements.

Hard Skills

  • AutoCAD

  • 2D Design

  • Single Line Diagram design

Requirements

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit/Navisworks is a plus

  • Experience designing single line diagrams

  • Ability to strip architecture drawings to identify where electrical panels are

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Soft Skills

  • Ability to read blueprints/construction documents

  • Collaboration

  • Adherence to safety standards

  • Technical report writing
