We are searching for a Mechanical Design Engineer in the Chicago, IL area to work for an automotive manufacturing company. Candidates should have an advanced understanding of mechanical concepts, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and have practical working experience in creating drawings, designing, managing, and implementing projects.

responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain production fixtures used in the testing of components and sub-assemblies within the automotive industry including

• This includes Advanced industrial equipment such as testing fixtures for automotive components; Advanced component testers for various automotive parts; and Pneumatic and hydraulic presses including fixturing and control

• Interface with customer engineers and visit customer locations as needed

• Assist in managing launches for new product lines

• Assist in serving as technical lead for a team of Engineers and Associate Engineers
