Identity Access Management (IAM) Solutions Architect

What We Need:

As an Identity Access Management (IAM) Solutions Architect, you will strategically drive the identification and assessment of IAM solutions using enterprise Identity Access Management platforms and systems. In addition to designing solutions and collaborating with other lead engineers, you will work closely with business stakeholders, process owners, and senior management to identify automation opportunities, design complex solutions, and drive the successful delivery of projects. Will leverage your technical and leadership skills to provide oversight and direction to support the IAM teams in ensuring Identity Access Management platforms and systems, development efforts, and production deployments follow BCBSMA policies and standards.

Your extensive experience in Identity Access Management architecture will be crucial in guiding the team, managing project timelines, and ensuring the scalability and effectiveness of automation solutions. Additionally, you will coordinate with cross-functional technical teams to ensure that the platform (production and multiple non-production environments) and its supporting processes are stable and available 24x7 and that the end-to-end technical processes drive long-term value to our business stakeholders.

Your Day to Day

  • Collaborate with Enterprise architects, product owners and analysts to understand requirements and architecture to design, develop robust software solutions or applications.

  • Provide professional demeanor and communication skills with business partners and team members.

  • Collaborate with business SME’s and management to understand current initiatives and determine where automation can be used to create additional capacity.

  • Drive identity management strategically across the enterprise as a critical security pillar aligning where possible with IAM standard practices.

  • Identify data and process improvement ideas; contribute to the transformation of the Identity Access Governance function.

  • Determine the complexity of the current process and how automation can resolve any current business challenges.

  • Collaborate with the business to understand volume and frequency and calculate out the ROI back to the business once automation is in production.

  • Determine the capabilities needed and if the current automation stack can provide a solution for the business problem statement.

  • Oversee the on-boarding third party and cloud applications using various federation protocols in the IAM platforms as well as outside of the IAM platform.

  • Drive and oversee implementation of new trends in software engineering lifecycle and best practices to simplify the system integration needs of our IAM team.

  • Hands on experience with presenting solutions to enterprise architects as part of the Architect Review board and follow up for approvals

  • Collaborate and create customized IAM Workflows, Forms, Rules, Provisioning and Certifications

  • Collaborate and create architecture diagrams using products such as Visio

  • Oversee creation and maintenance of technical documentation and user guides in support of developed software.

  • Maintain high-level familiarity with BCBSMA IT system/business application capabilities to make critical operational and strategic decisions.

  • Have the passion to stay on top of current trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, contribute to internal & engage with external technology communities.

  • Ensure that IAM solutions adhere to security and compliance standards.

  • Demonstrate experience managing time-sensitive, complex projects, involving multiple stakeholders and/or external vendors.

  • Ability to learn, coach processes and mentor team members to develop highly scalable, secure and robust applications.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field.

  • 5+ years in Information Technology

  • 2+ years of experience in implementing IAM products (ISIM/ISAM, SailPoint, ForgeRock, Okta, etc.)

  • A strong understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM) User Lifecycle Processes including User Activity Monitoring, Access Re-Certification, SOD, Reporting etc. and IAM Standards.

  • Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and deploying IAM solutions in an enterprise environment (e.g., SailPoint, ForgeRock, Okta etc.)

  • Understanding of IAM standards like RBAC, SCIM, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect

  • Programming languages: Java or PowerShell & SQL, Computer networking, OS fundamentals (Windows/UNIX/Linux)

  • Strong communication skills to articulate technically complex issues to non-IAM teams

  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies and DevOps tools for continuous deployments

Salary Range: $165,330.00 - $202,070.00

The job posting range is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.

This job is also eligible for variable pay.
