Job Overview

The Senior Project Manager, Business Projects will lead projects, strategically aligned with sales goals, business optimization, and onboarding and commercialization. This role will also execute against centralized corporate Sales training, Sales employee onboarding and continuous education. Project Management will require cross-functional collaboration with other departments including Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Engineering, QA, etc.

Job Responsibilities

Analytical, Problem-Solving, and Administrative

  • Exhibiting strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to build and communicate a narrative.

  • Creating, analyzing and making recommendations from system reports.

  • Analyzing current practices and developing business process improvements as well as implementing changes in workflows, structures, and teams to ensure continuous Sales team performance and customer satisfaction.

  • Investigating shortfalls, issues, and complaints in current Sales business processes.

  • Ability to pivot and creatively problem-solve when gaps arise, timelines or scope change.

  • Monitoring Sales organizational process effectiveness and collaborating with other stakeholders to enhance productivity and satisfaction.

  • Training, mentoring, and guiding team members in new processes. This may include creation and maintenance of onboarding materials such as written documentation, videos, cross-functional education sessions, etc. This includes identifying training gaps and creating tools to solve.

Business Project Management

  • Manage projects that allow us to deliver a best-in-class customer experience aligned with business optimization. Examples of these types of projects include, but are not limited to: box and pallet optimization, formula updates, packaging changes, etc.

  • Project management responsibilities include building and leading a cross-functional project team, managing project financial impact, delivering against a clear implementation timeline, creating internal and external communication strategy and collateral, etc.

  • Communicate executive summaries as status updates proactively.

  • Build positive relationships with key partners in cross-functional departments and influence others without authority to get things done in a timely fashion.

  • Be able to pivot and creatively problem-solve when gaps arise, timelines or scope change.

  • Investigate shortfalls, issues, and complaints in current Sales business processes.

  • Influence others without authority to get things done in a timely fashion.

  • Lead and manage effective meetings by setting meeting agendas, facilitating meeting discussion, capturing action items and facilitating follow up.

  • Create and communicate Customer Communications and transition management collateral associated with asset updates.

  • Develop, execute/launch, and maintain Sales processes to streamline efficiency and accuracy internally and with our customers. Monitor Sales organizational process effectiveness and collaborate with other stakeholders to enhance productivity and satisfaction.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field.

  • 3 years or more of direct working experience in sales, project management, marketing and/or customer service facing roles.

  • High School Diploma and 5 years sales/customer service experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Strong organization, communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong presentation skills and ability to build a sales story using Microsoft PowerPoint presentations

  • Time management and multitasking skills in order to handle multiple tasks and requests simultaneously.

  • Ability to make sound, independent business decisions based on functional expertise and experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Up to 25% of travel.

  • Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Food industry or CPG experience.

  • Proven success in project management.

  • High proficiency in Excel data reporting and analytical skills.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in an office setting.

• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35ºF to 100ºF; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
