An opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated Channel Sales Manager to drive business with key accounts to develop strategic partnerships for our laboratory informatics and database solutions for spectral analysis, within the analytical sciences areas. Primary responsibilities include managing major instrument manufacturer distributor relationships to ensure integration of our software and database solutions into their product offerings. Leverage the laboratory informatics portfolio to develop strategic account proposals and assist in delivering government grants to help grow our share of market with our KnowItAll and Wiley spectral library brands.

How you will make an impact:

  • Acquiring new customers, building, and managing strong relationships with clients
  • Strong government bid and proposal experience
  • Business development experience in ideating solutions to support our customers in
    achieving their goals
  • Drive new & key account growth with major instrument manufacturers and government programs
  • Develop strong internal relationships with key stakeholders such as product & technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and the delivery of profitable sales growth
  • Emphasis on closing/winning new business to drive revenue growth
  • Strong understanding of chemistry and spectroscopy concepts, software solutions and channel sales.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
  • CRM management
  • Travel to meet with prospects/customers (30% min)

What we look for:

  • 5-7 years' + experience in successfully managing key accounts in the analytical science industry
  • Experience working with VPs, Directors, Product Managers, Program Managers in technical product management/marketing roles
  • A high level of accountability to achieve growth
  • Proven track record of handling complex selling situations and Distribution Agreements
  • Ability to prospect as well as maintain and build business relationships
  • Create, execute and deliver on business contracts
  • Proven record of collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver on proposals
  • A consultative sales personality with ability to scope complex Win/Win/Win deals
  • Skilled negotiator and communicator
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Experience with government bid and proposals
  • Time management and an ability to work autonomously.
  • B.S. Degree in Chemistry
  • Master's degree in sciences/business a bonus
