Position Summary:

The Quality Specialist will work independently with established policies and procedures to support the quality assurance function. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in addition to effective communication with all stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing recommendations and implementing plans to address quality gaps and/or improve the quality of our products.
Work directly with Quality Control Liaisons to establish and facilitate process capabilities and statistical knowledge to improve product conformance, specification development, and specification rationalization with customers.
Partner with Supply Chain, Sales, and Customer Service to drive customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with Quality Liaisons on quality improvements and tracking improvement progress.
Inspection of incoming material, in-process material, and final product and packaging.
Completion of inspection data and other documentation necessary to release materials to internal and external operations or inventory.
Reports quality systems results and metrics.
Oversees process capability studies and assists in quality audits.
Manages quality inspection process, procedures, and documentation.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
3-10 years' experience in quality control/quality assurance within the apparel industry.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Some travel required.
Experience with quality programs and requirements, and the quality/reliability standards of customers' specifications and expectations.
Solution oriented with the ability to investigate and analyze data for problem solving.
Project management skills and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
Good interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
Self-motivated and detail oriented; ability to work independently and part of a team.
Ability to build professional relationships and create high levels of commitment and performance.

Physical Requirements:
Positional: Driving in accordance with job duties assigned. Infrequent standing and walking. Constant sitting.
Gross Mobility: Rare climbing, or crawling. Infrequent balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Frequent to constant reaching and handling.
Sensory: Rare smelling. Frequent use of color vision. Occasional use of far visual acuity, depth perception, and field of vision. Frequent use of near and midrange visual acuity, and visual accommodation.
