Product Sales Engineer- Circuit Protection and Controls Business

Position Overview

Siemens Smart Infrastructure is looking for an experienced Industrial Account Manager for the Chicago market. The person chosen for this key role will manage, penetrate, and grow Siemens position at OEM power distribution accounts in the market and will carry a multi-million-dollar quota. This person will be responsible for growing sales with direct accounts by establishing themselves as a trusted advisor to our customer partners and developing relationships at the assigned accounts from the C-Suite all the way to the shop floor technicians.

Product Sales Engineer- Circuit Protection and Controls Business

This position will be in the greater Chicago area.

Role Description

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients along with identifying target potential customers.

  • Present, promote and sell electrical components such as circuit breakers, control products and other related items to existing customers and prospective new customers.

  • Provide technical support and product knowledge to customers ensuring they understand the features and benefits of the products.

  • Negotiate pricing and manage sales agreements to achieve sales targets and business objectives.

  • Collaborate with business development and other resources to address customer needs and feedback.

  • Utilize CRM software to manage customer accounts, track sales opportunities and activities.

  • Prepare and deliver sales reports, forecasts, and market analyses to management as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 4+ years of Industrial Sales Experience

  • Estimated travel requirement is 20%.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, marketing, or a related field.

  • Experience in working with electrical power distribution builders, engineers, purchasing and industrial clients.

  • Knowledge of electrical products including circuit breakers, industrial controls, safety switches and related components.

  • Proven track record of successful sales experience in the electrical components industry.

  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a strong drive to achieve sales targets.

The pay range for this position is $ $88,300 - $151,4001 along with eligibility for a sales incentive. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
