We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Applications Engineer to join our manufacturing team within the water industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, a keen understanding of water systems, and the ability to provide technical support and solutions to optimize our products and services. This role involves close collaboration with various departments, including R&D, sales, and customer support, to ensure the successful implementation and performance of our water-related applications.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks

• Works primarily with the direct sales team, reviews customer requirements on small to medium complex projects, determines appropriate process solutions by performing calculations using standard tools.

• Selects appropriate equipment / materials to meet customer needs and to develop project costing.

• Works with Drafters, creates drawings as required for the application.

• Generates customer proposals utilizing standard tools, seeks and gains appropriate approval levels.

• Effectively communicates solution to internal and external customers.

• Determines and understands risk associated with work product.

• Assists in mentoring AE I level engineers on business processes and smaller applications.

Position Requirements

FORMAL EDUCATION:

• Requires BS/BA degree in Engineering

• 2+ yrs of experience

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

• Advanced knowledge of business tools, processes and procedures.

• Ability to conduct and understand water quality projections.

• Competency in multiple standard equipment platforms and their employment.

• Thorough understanding of common components and their application.

• Able to execute complex tasks with limited guidance.

• Effectively collaborates with other disciplines in a team environment.

• Solid understanding of the sales process and how organizational role influences outcome.

• General understanding of financial principals as related to tasks assigned.

• Working understanding of contractual terms and conditions.

Additional Details

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 10%

Salary range:

$62,000.00 - $99,000.00
