Job Title: General Laborer

Job Description

The General Laborer will be responsible for operating all areas of grain and feed receiving, storage, and handling in a safe manner. This includes the proper drying, blending, cleaning, and conditioning of all grain received and stored, as well as verifying incoming grain quality. Additionally, the role involves delivering products to customers' farms as needed and performing scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance and repair of all grain handling and storage equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate all areas of grain and feed receiving, storage, and handling in a safe manner.

• Ensure the proper drying of all grain received.

• Maintain the condition of all stored grain inventories.

• Properly blend, clean, and condition grain.

• Verify incoming grain quality through scale tickets and visual inspection.

• Deliver products to customers' farms as needed.

• Perform scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance and repair of grain handling and storage equipment.

• Assist with maintenance and repair projects in other areas as scheduled.

• Maintain housekeeping and quality assurance in all grain receiving and feed manufacturing handling areas.

Work Environment

The work environment includes occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high and precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

This is a Contract position based out of Holland, Michigan.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00
