Reports to: Manager HR Service

Location: Holland, MI

Summary:

Payroll Specialist will ensure timely, accurate wages payments and internal/external compliance. Moreover, Payroll Specialist will analyze payroll and related expenses and provide insight for management team. This position works in close partnership with our internal customers and external service providers, with occasional interaction with LGES Headquarters in South Korea. The HR Specialist will engage the entire organization and have a direct role in executing LGESMI’s strategic plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop processes to ensure timely collection of payroll information

  • Audit and maintain personal, employment, payroll, and time & attendance database

  • Process multi jurisdiction, multi-cycle payrolls and facilitate payroll/benefits funding

  • Ensure payroll practices comply with company policies and legal standards

  • Handle employee inquiries and correct payments

  • Analyze and report expense analytics to management

  • Prepare tax documents and process amendments as necessary

  • Supply payroll records for internal/external stakeholders as needed

  • Perform any other payroll related duties as assigned

  • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:

  • Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain

  • Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or MS preferred, or equivalent, relevant experience

Experience:

  • 3 to 6+ years of corporate payroll processing or related experience

Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of multi-state payroll laws, corporate payroll functions, workforce analytics and best practices

  • Requires the ability to use good judgment and discretion with highly confidential business and team member information

  • Must have exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

  • High level of proficiency with MS Office Suite (excel) and payroll software (ADP WFN preferred)
