Administrative Office PA Courts Deputy Court Administrator - Blair County, PA in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania

This management position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the master court calendar and facility scheduling for Blair County courts This position provides support and oversight of criminal staff and events. The role entails optimizing time and space resources to fulfill the court's mission. Responsibilities include scheduling all courtroom activities, managing videoconferencing, and assigning visiting and senior judges. Additionally, the position involves communication and coordination with judges' chambers and other court-related offices

Job Duties

  • Develops and maintains an overall understanding of the court offices, systems, processes, and filings affecting the Court Calendar through communications and education.

  • Manages the scheduling of all court proceedings on the master calendar using the CPCMS system for judges, senior judges, and visiting judges.

  • Coordinates the scheduling of civil and criminal case management trial dates.

  • Manages the allocation of courtrooms and hearing rooms according to the court calendar priorities.

  • Coordinates and secures the assigning of visiting/senior judges through the Administrative Unit and AOPC; processes the necessary documents; and tracks and prepares the information for the annual Senior Judge Grant report.

  • Handles inquiries from all sources related to case scheduling and the court calendar.

  • Oversees the daily operations of the Court Administration office when both the District Court Administrator and the Deputy District Court Administrator are absent.

  • Issues reports and information to AOPC as required.

  • Serves as ADA Coordinator and Language Access Coordinator.  Schedules interpreters and complies with the LADC system.

  • Schedules and coordinates video conferences.

  • Conducts annual performance evaluations and provides coaching for the staff with the Deputy Court Administrator.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Judicial, Business, or Public Administration, or a closely related field; AND

  • Two years of experience in court management or three years of varied office management work including experience in budgeting, procurement, and human resources management.

  • An equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training may be considered.
