Position Summary:

Responsible for providing strategies to increase sales and profits while satisfying the needs of our customers and field sales personnel. The strategies include competitor analysis, field sales support, tactical pricing and optimizing sales opportunities to penetrate new accounts.

Assumes managerial role in the performance and development of Product Sales Managers. Proactively works with all Divisional management and related support departments to ensure on time customer service needs are met or exceeded. Represents Company at trade shows and other professional activities. Reports to Division Marketing & Business Development Manager.

Essential Functions:

  • Field sales support – Responsible for maintaining a working relationship with Regional Managers, field sales personnel and assigned Parker accounts to promote divisional sales activities. Supervise and direct the activities of Distributors and OEM Product Sales Managers. Indirect responsibility to Distributors and OEM Sales Correspondents.

  • Pricing – Continually review account margins for areas of improvement and provides FBU with direction for product substitution and strategic pricing decisions.

  • Business Unit Support – Implements FBU initiatives for sales, service and profits.

  • Distributor support – Maintain a working relationship with key distributors that promote divisional interests and develop distributor relations.

  • Sales strategies – Utilize value added approach, including but not limited to kits, systems (total Parker systems solutions) and alternative means to achieve target account initiatives to increase share, margin and market penetration.

  • Training – Provide input to marketing services on additional training needs of field sales personnel and provide manpower allocations for Division and Region training.

  • Product Development – Coordinate feedback on new product needs to business units as required.

  • Competitor Activity – Ensure that the database of competitive information on products, equipment and market basket pricing is current and our strategies are aligned to maximize opportunities.

  • Supply Chain Management – Evaluate current and alternative forms of the supply chain to increase share, optimize return and capitalize on new growth opportunities. These may include use of distributors where no company facilities are available.

  • Budget Management – Develop budget plan to meet the strategic objectives for the Distributors and OEM sales initiatives.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Science or Arts (preferably engineering related).

  • 2-3 years field sales organization experience in the fluid connector business with account responsibility servicing both OEM and distributor customers preferred.

  • 2-3 years Product Sales Manager experience.

  • Supervisory experience is a plus.

  • Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft PowerPoint and Mainframe applications required.

  • PowerBI experience preferred

  • Approximately 25 - 50% travel.
