  The Big Task

  Performs a variety of tasks associated with warehouse operations in relation to loading trucks for next day or same day deliveries.  Carries out general warehouse maintenance, including emptying trash, sweeping, organizing and stocking.

   

  Key Sub Tasks

• Pull material for scheduled jobs.

• Load or unload supplies while they are being received or when they are being sent out to jobs.

• Keep records as goods entering and leaving the warehouse.

• Locate and stock the trucks with parts that need to be delivered to jobs.

• Help ensure that the warehouse is kept clean, and safety codes are followed.

  Desired Skills and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• 5 years’ of increasingly responsible experience in warehouse receiving procedures or any equivalent combination of experience and education.

• Good communication skills to interact with coworkers.

• Able to take and understand instructions both verbally and/or in writing.

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

• Must be able to work on several projects at once.

• Training and certification may be required to operate heavy lifting machinery.

• Knowledge of plumbing and HVAC materials, a plus.
