The purpose of this internship is to prepare college students for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization. The program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully envision a career with Zebra. You will be positioned for success with training, exposure to all parts of the business, social activities, a professional mentor relationship and development sessions to help you discover your own performance edge!

The Security Program Team is responsible for complete overview and driving security initiatives across the different product and solutions business units. This includes the tracking, monitoring and influencing priority of significant security initiatives from the enterprise security team, developing repeatable, scalable, efficient, and effective processes. And communicating successfully within the business units and at multiple levels of management, building trust across the organization.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the project management of developing a security chatbot designed to provide employees with quick answers to common security questions and details about ongoing security initiatives

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define the chatbot's functionalities by conducting a thorough needs assessment to identify key security topics, user pain points and ensuring it aligns with Zebra's security standards

  • Develop a detailed project plan, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management strategies

  • Establish clear communication channels and project governance

  • Oversee the development, testing, and deployment of the chatbot with the development team, including quality assurance, user acceptance testing, and performance evaluation

  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for employees on how to use the chatbot

  • Monitor usage metrics and gather feedback to optimize the chatbot's performance

  • Develop planning, organizational and leadership skills

  • Increase technology knowledge and skills

  • Develop team-based work proficiencies

  • Develop interpersonal skills to connect with day-to-day business contacts through follow up activities

    THIS IS A HYBRID INTERNSHIP LOCATED IN HOLTSVILLE, NY . THE EXPECTATION IS AT LEAST 3 DAYS OF IN-OFFICE ATTENDANCE.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Engineering

  • Must have an anticipated graduation date between December 2025 - 2027

  • Must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, frameworks, standards, and best practices, such as NIST, ISO, OWASP SAMM etc.

  • Understanding of project management principles and tools (e.g. Jira, confluence) to help with task prioritization and timeline management

  • Familiarity with chatbot development platform or tools

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)

  • Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow

  • Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic, and/or extracurricular experiences

  • Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team

  • Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to gather and interpret requirements from both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills such as problem-solving and knowledge-sharing

Salary: USD 19.00 - USD 42.50 Hourly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.

Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
