Queen's Health System Coordinator, Purposeful Engagements - QHS Philanthropy (Full-Time, 40, Day) in Honolulu, Hawaii

RESPONSIBILITIES

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leads the Purposeful Engagements Program which provides exclusive, peer-driven engagement opportunities based on the Islands of Hope Program. These opportunities are designed to connect high-capacity, high-propensity prospects with The Queen’s Health Systems’ (QHS) senior leadership and key initiatives. The events serve as an opportunity to build relationships with prospective donors, assessing their affinity for QHS’ mission and future plans, fostering meaningful discussions and cultivating relationships that lead to philanthropic support.

• Works closely with Major Gift Officers to ensure seamless prospect handoff and ongoing engagement and carefully monitors and reports on the success of each engagement in identifying and cultivating high-potential donors.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Sitting, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, lifting, pushing and carrying items up to usual weight of 5 pounds.

• Continuous: reaching above, at and below shoulders; repetitive arm/hand motion and frequent gripping of objects.

• Frequent: standing, walking, stooping/bending, and twisting body.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

• May require occasional offsite travel.

• Occasional evening and weekend work required for special events or donor engagement activities.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, public relations, marketing or related field; or four (4) years experience in fund development, marketing, public relations, special events, business or related area may be substituted for the educational requirement.

B. EXPERIENCE:

• In addition to the educational requirement, three (3) years of experience in donor engagement, event planning, marketing, public relations, philanthropy or related area, preferably in a nonprofit or healthcare setting.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage high-capacity individuals and build meaningful relationships with influencers, leadership, and prospective donors.

• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate complex, high-profile engagements with multiple stakeholders.

• Analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to track, report, and analyze program outcomes and refine strategies accordingly.

• Proven ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment while managing independent responsibilities.

• Experience working with high-net-worth individuals, understanding of major gift fundraising practices, and comfort in high-level engagement settings preferred.

• Familiarity with donor management systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce) and prospect research tools preferred.
