As a home care Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with our Oahu Visits team, you will assist clients in attaining or maintaining optimal physical wellbeing by providing treatment, tests, client education and appropriate interventions as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist.

Our Physical Therapy Assistants deliver exceptional care to every client.

  • Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.

  • Assist clients in attaining or maintaining optimal physical wellbeing by providing treatment, tests, client education and appropriate interventions as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist.

  • Develop and implement appropriate individualized care plans, including manual therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and other interventions.

  • Continually assess and revise the Physical Therapy - PT care plan

  • Educate and instruct clients, family members, or other client representatives, in rehabilitative care and activities necessary to promote the client's health, safety, and independent living.

  • Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations pertaining to client care management

Qualifications for a BAYADA Physical Therapy Assistants:

  • A current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state (Hawaii)

  • Have graduated from a two-year college level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, or

  • Have two years of appropriate experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant and a satisfactory grade on a proficiency exam conducted, approved or sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Service when initial qualification occurred before December 31, 1977

  • A minimum of one year of recent work experience under the supervision of a qualified Physical Therapist

  • Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred

  • Pay: Weekly; $45-50 per visit, based on experience
