Eversource Energy Program Manager, Strategic Project Development (Hybrid) in Hooksett, New Hampshire

Our Team:

Eversource is looking for a Program Manager, Strategic Project Development located in Hartford, CT or Westwood, MA or Hooksett, NH .

The Program Manager, Strategic Project Development, contributes to the advancement of Major and Strategic Projects throughout Transmission by implementing cross-functional leadership throughout the Company and executing on the Capital Plan while adhering to core business synergies.

The role will include the implementation of comprehensive strategies for advancing strategic projects, including internal analytics, external communications and stakeholder relationship building in collaboration with other teams to support the Company’s role as the leading provider of Transmission.

The Program Manager role will be expected to work collaboratively and coordinate with all relevant departments within the Company including System Planning, Engineering, Siting, Engagement and Equity, Regulatory, Legal and Project Management. Will work closely with the Director and Manager of Strategic Projects to ensure alignment and cooperative communication across Strategic Project execution.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for all aspects of the strategic projects from early-stage development to hand off to Project Management Organization (prior to traditional project lifecycle)
  • Oversees a cross functional project team including, System Planning, Engineering, Siting, Legal, Project Management, Engagement, Regulatory Affairs, Environmental Affairs, , and other internal stakeholders to establish development plan
  • Ensures that all strategic solutions are vetted in a manner consistent with the Company’s safety and procurement policies and programs
  • Works with the appropriate departments to develop schedules and budget of strategic projects in early-stage development and is responsible for the implementation, prior to execution
  • Supports development and documentation of Company Policies related to development and execution of strategic transmission projects addressing items such a feasibility, planning, siting, permitting, construction, etc.
  • Focus on both internal and external collaboration
  • Maintains familiarity with current and upcoming Policies and Programs that could facilitate Transmission Development
  • Works with the Manager/Director to develop metrics by which to evaluate the success of transmission projects and continue to track the progress.
  • Facilitates discussions with key stakeholders to assure alignment and key information exchange to advance Strategic Transmission Projects
  • Assists with representing Eversource Transmission on committees, groups, associations, or other efforts consistent with Strategic Projects
  • Assists with representing Eversource Transmission at public meetings, regulatory hearings, town hall meetings and any special meetings that may occur
  • Ensures Manager and Director of Strategic Project Development are briefed regularly on the status of job responsibilities for the development of strategic projects and status of action items

Technical Knowledge/Skills

  • Ability to develop and present reports within the organization.
  • Strong computer and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to make decisions in a timely manner.
  • Project management experience required
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences internally and externally

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical (i.e., engineering, environmental, communication), business discipline, related degree or equivalent experience will be considered
  • Masters, law, or other advanced qualification desirable

Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of related experience
  • Experience developing competitive infrastructure projects and knowledge of electric transmission and distribution systems preferred

Compensation and Benefits:

Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $130,000.00 plusincentive. Salaryis commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of our benefits.

  • Valid Driver’s license is required

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
  • Our hybrid working schedule is first 90 days are in the office and then hybrid.
