Robert Half Accounts Receivable Specialist in Hoover, Alabama
Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist in the construction industry, specifically situated in Hoover, Alabama. In this role, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of managing customer accounts, resolving account issues, and contributing to the overall financial health of our operations.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the resolution of outstanding accounts receivable issues, ensuring disputes and discrepancies are dealt with in a timely manner.
• Manage the processing of payments and updating of customer accounts, with a focus on accuracy and promptness.
• Interpret insurance scopes and estimates to effectively handle accounts dealing with insurance claims and ensure payments are in line with insurance agreements.
• Address and resolve billing disputes and inquiries from customers, working closely with sales and customer service teams to achieve satisfactory results.
• Maintain comprehensive records of account activities, create reports regarding the state of receivables, and offer insights on trends in account resolution.
• Ensure that all activities related to accounts receivable comply with legal requirements and internal policies.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while resolving account issues, maintaining a detail oriented and customer-centric approach.
• Collaborate with the accounting department to reconcile accounts, manage discrepancies, and improve processes.
• Utilize accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel to manage accounting functions and produce aging reports.
• Employ skills in collecting payments and handling credit card payments to maintain outstanding balance.
Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Understanding and execution of Accounting Functions
• Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR) management
• Familiarity with Billing Functions
• Proven experience in Collecting Payments
• Knowledge of processing Credit Card Payments
• Ability to conduct Account Resolution
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in managing Outstanding Balance
• Skills in handling Aging Accounts
• Capability to generate and analyze Aging Reports
