SAP Product Success Manager - Pricing & Commercialization - South in Hoover, Alabama

What youll do

We are seeking a product expert, within the global Sales Performance Management team to lead Product Advocacy, Enablement and Commercialization within the SPM / CBO organization, with a focus on growth of the portfolio. You will engage with a broad group of stakeholders across the SPM business, including Sales, marketing, services, success, and operations. You will also build/leverage a network of stakeholders within other SAP groups, partners and customers, leaning on your strong collaboration, ideation and influence skills to maximize the success of the portfolio and impact of the solution. This unique opportunity includes product success across all business functions within the solution portfolio, with broad exposure across the organization.

Key responsibilities include the following:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the SPM market with particular focus on incentive management for revenue generators and agent-based businesses, maintaining expertise on customer sentiment, latest incentive management and market trends, investor activities and technological innovations

  • In partnership with marketing, know the competitive landscape, partner ecosystem, and total addressable market. and measurement of the business

  • Plan for the commercial success (packaging, licensing, pricing, monetization, etc.) of the solution and/or business opportunity in partnership with Business Model & Pricing (BMP), Product Engineering/product management, Product Marketing, Professional Services and Customer Success.

  • Lead market opportunity analysis with Corporate Strategy, product management, competitive market intelligence,

  • Drive commercial and monetization strategies across the portfolio, identifying and proposing untapped revenue opportunities. This role will also contribute to pricing/packaging/licensing led by BMP and contribute to financial health assessments led by Finance

  • Lead product advocacy, with deep understanding of the vision for the SPM suite and actively participate in customer/prospect and industry analyst engagements in multiple formats. This includes individual workshops and presentations within a large event, both SAP and non-SAP sponsored, with the objective to ensure that customers, prospects and analysts understand vision and roadmap, ultimately impacting new and recurring revenue and positive analyst recognition

  • Drive awareness for the product and support growth and adoption of our products at customers and partners

  • Bring strong data and analytics skills and mindset servicing all aspects of KPIs, OKRs and business metrics across the end to end SPM business, including sales, marketing, product, engineering, operations, services and support. Leverage these analyses and metrics to provide insights and strategies for fact-based decision making by the leadership team

  • Deliver business intelligence, servicing all aspects of KPI, OKR, and business metrics, using key data and analytics skills. Support field teams on internal processes (Forecasting, Comp, etc) and tools (Harmony, EAS) while steering business performance. Use knowledge, data, and skills to provide insightful, fact-based decision-making analysis for the leadership team

  • Deliver high quality field and partner facing enablement content, focusing on top SPM priorities (product/technology/commercials)

What you bring:

  • 10 years total professional experience, with domain expertise in business consulting, product marketing, product management, and/or corporate strategy with SaaS solution(s)

  • Proficient in growth, pricing and monetization strategies in recurring revenue models, specifically SaaS, along with expertise on SaaS business success measures

  • Experience with incentive strategies for revenue generating roles, sales planning, customer segmentation and/or go to market models

  • Proven record of proposing growth models, preparation of business cases and ability to influence decisions

  • Strategic thinker with deep motivation to learn and utilize learning to contribute to new work methods and work products of value to the business

  • Experience effectively collaborating with others either in a formal team setting or on dynamic project-based teams to produce joint work products

  • Positive, energetic, engaging interpersonal style

  • Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail

  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and synthesize data from disparate sources

  • Ability to translate complex concepts into practical and tangible outputs and recommendations

  • Ability to influence others to take action without formal authority

  • Continuous improvement mindset to iterate on work methods and work products to improve their efficiency, quality, and impact

  • Ability to work and communicate with internal and external stakeholders with varying functions and seniority

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Compensation Range Transparency : SAPbelieves the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAPs commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 159900 - 367000 USD.The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidatewill be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills,experience, scope ofthe role, location, etc. as determinedthrough theselection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
